I thought that women who had pedicure services just had too much money to spend. That opinion changed when I had my first one. I was in a wedding as a bridesmaid, and the bride wanted all of us to have pedicures with her since we were wearing open toed shoes. She had booked the same time slots for all of us, then we were going to go to her house and just chill on her last night as a single woman. I am not the only one who had never had a pedicure before, so it was a new experience for several of us.
I was surprised to see just how in depth a pedicure can get. I honestly did think that it was just getting nails trimmed and then painted. I had no idea that there is so much more to it. There is a foot bath, which was my favorite part because of the massaging vibrations in it. I liked that it lasted more than just a couple of minutes too. I just laid back, closed my eyes, and listened to all of my friends talk about the big day the next day.
After the foot bath, the pedicurist did trim my nails and shaped them as well. She also used a lotion on my feet that smelled simply divine. I was hooked on this even before she started painting a whimsical design on my toenails in pastel colors. When she was done with all of us, we oohed and ahhed over everyone’s toes because they really were works of art. The following day we even had a picture taken of us with just our toes showing, and it turned out to be one of the most fun pictures of the day. I am going to go back for another one soon!
